Photos from the Ben Nevis walk

It was a gorgeous sunny day and Ben Nevis appeared to have a smattering of cloud as we approached Fort William.

It was really warm climbing out of Glen Nevis

In this picture, can you see other walkers far below?

At the summit we had not just mist but fog, with a steady damp breeze – you really needed your wet weather gear.

Our dog Ollie was our star of the day – not forgetting some Amputees who were walking just behind us up the mountain – incredible!

A long descent – quite a relief but it does take its toll on the knees!

Eventually the mist clears and you can see the valley once more.

Really tired but happy to have achieved the summit!  Donations kept on trickling in even after we reached home, which has been so encouraging.

Driving back to the campsite, this view of the evening sun was a real tonic.

And dear Ollie finally showed that he was tired too!

Thanks again everyone for your amazing support – thanks to you we raised just over £3,000 before Giftaid. 🙂
